- *** MOF - MACH II*** |
The band is also currently stockpiling new material which will form the basis for a new album. Songs will be previewed at live gigs. The new songs are like nothing you have ever heard. Darker, groovier, heavier with an atmosphere of intense evil that you could cut with a butcher's knife. Riffs forged in the bowels of hell and scathing, razor blade style lyrics to match. Keep your ears peeled!! |

SCORES A WHOPPING 8/10*** |
 |
The
3 track demo CD is reviewed this month in Metal Hammer
by none other than the infamous Malcolm Dome.
He writes: "Mouthful of Flies are definitely metal
thrashing mad. Well, they're ultra heavy, sub-Sabbath
raiders. The 'Ten: Negative : Sixes' three-tracker [8] offers
the promise of a band who could really punch their weight
at a very high level. There's an album on the way."
Thanks Malcolm. |

- *** BASS MONGER ATTACKS *** |
 |
| Hello metal
maniacs, Robi the bass monster was in the UK for a week over
easter, all the way from Vancouver BC. What a pleasure to
have him on our shores. He recorded four new bass tracks for the album, yes that's another four tracks on their way
to completion for the 'Ten Negative Sixes' debut release.
As soon as he was off the plane I had him pumping bass tracks
in the studio. thanks Robi, you did an excellent job my brother.
you rock the heaviest! |

- What's in store for 2006 |
Greetings
metal heads,
In case you've been wondering what we've been up to, aside
from working too hard, taking extended holidays, followed
by more working and making music, we've been preparing a
mailshot of our new three track demo.
We have a couple of drummers in the pipeline, but unfortunately
no sign of a live bass player. We're starting to think maybe
we should just finish up work on the album and put it out
on for sale on the Internet just so we can get the songs
out to you guys.
Oh yeah and we've been busy updating the website to the format
of pages you now see before you. Hope you have fun with the
goodies we've added. Check it all out and drop by the forum
and let us know what you think.
More soon.

- Mouthful of Flies Wins 2005 Core Wars |
To
all our Family and Friends who voted for us in the 2005
Core Wars - A HELLA HEAVY METAL THANK YOU and HORNS UP
for your incredible support. You ALL ROCK BIGTIME!!! The
exposure from the Core Wars has been awesome. Check out
the review from The
Brutality Report below:
In the best finish in Core Wars history, London's Mouthful
of Flies wins the honors this year with a monstrous showing!
These guys had more fan votes each and every week than I've
ever seen!
It was incredible. To think of all the new metal heads these
madmen sent to the Core Wars page . . . and subjected them
to all the Heavycore propaganda we could toss at them is nothing
short of kick ASS.
It was a close match with Chicago's Fallen Empire as the two
combined for nearly 900 fan votes. Fallen Empire won the member's
part of the vote, and Mouthful of Flies won the Core Wars Committee
vote with a slim 3-2 margin.
It was close, but Mouthful of Flies won with a score of 2-1.
It was an awesome contest this year without a doubt. Huge thanks
to all the fans who voted and for the Heavycore bands that
participated by entering Core Wars, voting, or acting as a
member of Committee.
It was kick ass and it drove tons of new traffic to the site.
Check out these stats . . .
In a normal week, the Heavycore sites attracts 5,000 visitors
During Core Wars it averages 8,500 and toppled the 10,000 mark
this past week
So what does Core Wars do? It helps the Heavycore bands who
participate by bringing tons of new fans to the site to hear
their music and check out their websites. The fans emailed
me in droves - saying they were turned on to so many good bands
that they wanted to say thanks. That's great to hear. Of course
it helps Heavycore by bringing new fans to the site to check
it out and new bands who apply after finding out what we're
about and how Heavycore can help promote them across the globe.
The top five bands in this year's Core Wars were: Mouthful
of Flies, Fallen Empire, Rellik, Angelfire, and Morgueazm.
Mouthful of Flies wins a free spot on "Core Til Death IV",
two Heavycore shirts, two copies of the "Core Til Death III" CD,
and their dues paid for one year. Fallen Empire scores a free
spot on the upcoming compilation CD from Rotting Corpse Records,
two copies of "Core Til Death III", and a free year of dues.
Rellik, Angelfire, and Morgueazm each score a free copy of "Core
Til Death III". What a fuckin' deal - and it didn't cost these
bands anything to enter the contest. To check out the bands
in Core Wars 2005 this year and the sponsors who helped make
it happen, then check out www.core-wars.com
